A Padded Equalizer is a smart alternative to traditional fixed value equalizers
Less waste as you are only required to stock one type of EQ
Always have the right value on hand. Padded EQs accept the same type of pads as native unit
Pad determines slope level allowing easy & accurate amplifier set-up
Padded EQ for Scientific Atlanta
CableServ has developed the patented CableServ® Padded Equalizer by separating the reactive and resistive elements of a CATV amplifier equalizer or slope control into two distinct entities. The reactive element is contained on a circuit board plug-in carrier which establishes the equalization bandwidth. The carrier remains installed in the amplifier equalizer or slope location depending on the amplifier model. What this means is that you adjust the slope by plugging in a JXP pad. For example, plugging in a 1dB pad will give you 1dB of slope 2dB will give you 2dB of slope, etc.* There are several advantages to employing Padded Equalizers over fixed value EQs...See PDF for more
